History Body and frame have been seperated. Frame went under a WC 9 that someone had put a WC 53 frame under. The body went on a WC 9 whose body was cut up for scrap.
Comment At the time of the body switches the 9 with the 53 frame wasn't in my friends collection. The scrapped 9 cab is in Australia as a parts cab.

History Ex US Army ETO, then rebuilt in the US and given to Norway in the 1950's. Converted to a Radio Van Reg No: 2821 18-5 (from Bumper). Last used mid 1980's after a big Nato Exercise and then into preservation. Sold off to the Norweigan club HMVK and then purchased by a UK dealer in 2007. Purchased by me in 2007 and restored back to US Army Ambulance configuration. Comment Converted to 12v when in Norwegian service as a radio van, and also had radio mast holes cut into the roof. Also had holes cut in the side panel to accomodate the aerial wiring. When being restored original markings were under the norweigan paint including the small and large crosses. In addition a bonnet number of 718279 in blue was found, however I am not sure that this ties up with the build date and chassis number. Engine and all ancillaries were rebuilt in the 1970's US Engine number has been removed and replaced by a Norwegian number beginning with HVK 8. Apparently vehicle came from Trondeim where it served with the Norwegian Army. Owner Since 2007

History Found in France in the 1980s. Restored by the previous owner, near Frankfurt, Germany. Now in Münster, Germany, I named her "Florence Fiona" Comment Very complete but in need of a new paint in lusterless OD and correct US tyres. "Florence" is converted to 12 Volts. Went to Normandy in 2009. Pictures of the trip on www.command-car.com. Owner Since April 2006

History She must have been converted to a Signal corp truck overseas. All kinds of wiring and terminal blocks through out the truck. Truck was rescued from a scrap yard here in New York. Paper trail goes from Virginia, to Connecticut ending up here on Long Island in 2004. She needed a ton of work.
